Julie Shortland is a local Cinnamon Trust volunteer who conducts home checks for local people seeking help from the charity. She also helps campaign for awareness of the charities work and organises local events such as The Big Walk Whittlesey, a sponsored walk around the Manor Fields at Whittlesey.

Merrylegs Charitable Trust
Merrylegs Charitable Trust is a local animals rescue charity based is Whittlesey, Coates and Turves. It was founded and funded by the late Anna Nicholas a truly amazing vet, who spent her entire career ensuring veterinary treatment was available to everyone and making “Every Life Count" She took in animals that had nowhere else to go and always dreamt that one day, if suitable they would be able to give back to the community. She started this many years ago allowing local children to ride and care for her ponies without the massive expense. Since Anna's passing we have now opened Anna's Ark our own petting farm/ meeting place and animal therapy centre.
Fen Hands
Fen Hands is a support group for children with complex health disabilities and their families. Providing a space for all to come together, take time out safely and create memories. We run monthly Saturday Sessions where all the family is invited, providing crafts, sports, a sensory corner and refreshments being available throughout. During the school holidays we run Holiday Fridays, a targeted inclusive activity for the children.
